    With WW2 ending, and many countries struggling, the United Nations was formed to pursue peace. The United Nations began to pass bills like the Universal Declaration of Rights to ensure the security and peace of each individual.

  • Marshall Plan

    Marshall Plan
    Secretary of State George Marshall proposed that the U.S. provided economic assistance for the economic infrastructure of postwar Europe. Truman signs off on the document, officially named the Economic Recovery Plan of 1948.

  • Truman Doctrine

    President Harry S. Truman called for $400 million in aid to Greece and Turkey. This was called the Truman doctrine and it's purpose was to convince countries capitalism was superior to communism.

    The Bay of Pigs was a military invasion funded and directed by the American government by those who opposed Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution. The invasion was on the Southwest Coast of Cuba in 1961.
