    Party of communist people to fight in the cold war. They had a large territory, deciding how strong they were.

    Used to prevent Arms Race by limiting naval construction. This made the cold war more of a "cold" war when they limited this type of weapon.
  • Cult of Personality

    Individual uses mass media to create heroic flattery and praise. Stalin had used to create his own government to control his people.
  • Yalta Conference

    Meeting of the US, the UK, and the Soviet Union to discuss Europe's post war reorganization. The Big Three met and tried to shape peace after war. This made the cold war less of a tension.

    A program where scientists, engineers, and technicians brought to the US to gain a military advantage. This could advance them in the Space Race to beat the Soviets.

    This was a plan in order to help Western Europe by the US. They gave over 13 billion dollars in order to support them economically so Western Europe rebuild their economy.

    The blocking of Berlin by the Soviets. This blocked countries, like the US, from transporting goods by grounds, causing them to transfer it through aircrafts. Dropping some sorts of care packages for Berlin people.

    When Berlin was blocked off, the US and UK traveled by air to drop food and fuel for Berlin. This created more tension between Western powers and the Soviet Union.

    The time period where the Soviet Unions beat the US to space. They failed to the moon and just went around the Earth's orbit. This effected the rate of how hard the US had tried and when they would get to more advancements throughout the Cold War.

    War where the US and Vietnam fought against each other. The Soviets supported North Vietnam with the South supported by the US.They were supported by much other, this could effect how they fought each other in the war.
  • U-2 Incident

    The day the Soviet Union shot down an American U-2 spy plane and captured the pilot. This caused Dwight Eisenhower to admit that the CIA to say they have used spy planes more than once for several years. This raised tensions through the Cold War.

    Failed invasion at Cuba when the US tried to take it over. They intended to overthrow the communist government of Fidel Castro. This made the Soviet Union come into play ruining the US.
