    This ski area would bring in millions of dollars for years even until modern day. It also attracted tourists with the world's longest ski lift.

    Bent's Fort became a national historic site under the permission of President Dwight Eisenhower. Bent's Fort was one of the biggest trading posts in the west and is still commemorated to this day. The significance of this place is even though most of the traders didn't speak each others language yet they all traded no matter their race or language.
