    IBM Personal Computer
    The IBM company had produced the first personal computer that was equipped with a 4.77 MHz Intel 8088 microprocessor and used a Microsoft MS-DOS operating system.The IBM personal computer ended up being copied by other companies. This PC helped mold the computer to what it is that we have today in our every day lives. As you can see, it's body frame is similar to the computers we are all familiar with.

  • Commodore 64 (C64)

    Commodore 64 (C64)
    The Commodore 64, also known as the C64, was made by the company Commodore hence the name of the computer. This computer had 64kb of RAM and was known to have the best graphics during it's time of computers. The C64 is part of the reason we have computers that are made for gaming, graphic design, animation, etc. and these are also important aspects in the tv and film industry.

  • Lisa Computer

    Lisa Computer
    The Lisa Computer was made by Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh and it ran on a Motorola 68000 microprocessor with 1MB of RAM, a 12 inch black and white screen, a dual 5.25 inch floppy disks and a 5MB hard drive. It was the first computer with graphical user interface, also known as GUI. With the Lisa computer having GUI we now get to see different icons and arrows on our computers which are extremely helpful.

    Macintosh Computer
    The Macintosh computer was created by Macintosh Apple and was the first successful computer to using a mouse. The Macintosh also was equipped with MacPaint and MacWrite which we all use now for projects for a variety of things from school to work or for just fun.

    Macintosh Portable
    The Macintosh portable was designed by Apple and it was created for on the go purposes. The portable computer had weighed about 16 pounds and was priced at $6,500. This was a high performance device but was unfortunately discontinued two years after being released. It is obvious to note that because of this portable computer, we now have laptops that are almost seen as necessities for school and work.
