Israel took control of Golan heights, Gaza Strip,Sinai penninsula, West bank, and East Jerusalem. Israel luanched air strikes aganist Egypt, Syria,and Jordan.

Yom Kippur War

Apr 1, 1973

Eygpt and Syria luanched the Yom Kippur War to gain back their territory from Israel. U.S. support helped the israeli's fight back Egyptan and Syrian armies.

Camp David Accords

Apr 1, 1978

Was a peace agreement towards Egypt and Israel. Eygptian President Anwar Sadat, israeli prime minister, and U.S. President Jimmy Carter had a meeting to make a peace agreement with Eygpt and Israel and Israel was now recognized by Eygpt.

Initifada

Apr 1, 1987

during the Intifada Palestinian youths fought israeli troops in widespred street violence. PLO leader Yasser Arafat and israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin negotiated and made the Oslo Accords to end the violence.

Infitada 2

Apr 1, 2000

Palestinian youths were joined by palestinian security forces with guns. Hamas sent suicide bombers into Israel to attack civillians.
