    This conflict was between Russia and America but had some relavence with Congo. During this time DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) had become independent from Belgium (Patrice Lumumba became first President) and the People Republic of Congo had become independent from France. during the June 30th 1960

    Rwanda Genocide

    A genocide that was aimed at Tutsi People. Happen because of Conflict in the Rwanda Civil War begining back in early 1940's . Estimated 500,000 to 1,000,000 of Rwanda's People had been slaughtered.

    A foreign invasion of Zaire led by Rwanda that replaced a decades of long dictator from Mobutu Sésé Seko to the rebel leader Laurent-Désiré Kabila

    This conflict involed the same sort of conflict the the First Congo War. This was one of the most dangerous modern wars in African's history. It involed nine different Africa's countries and counted 5.4 million deaths from all different sorts of causing ranging from diseases to rape

  • Pretoria Accord

    Pretoria Accord was an agreement between DRC and Rwanda that was intended to end the Second Congo War. Rwanda agreed to withdraw 20,000 troops from DRC fo Hutu gets blamed and arrested for the mass murder genocide.

    Even though this end date is on the 7th on November 2013 there is still a lot of conflict still happening in the DRC espeically with the civilians at this time of age.

  • Rebel Group M23 starts to invade Goma

    For a few months before the inavision the Rebel group had slowly start to take over and bomb neighboring town around Goma. This is a significant event as Goma is on the border of Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo, it also has around 1 million people living in this city. The city of Goma is a major city in the DRC due to its population, major sites such as its International Airport.

  • Peace Agrrement Between M23 and the Congo Government done by UN

    Peace agreement was made that had to do with removing troops from Goma and Any Rebel that has commited a crime from a International laws were not allow back into the DRC
