I was born!
I was born in Massachusetts, actually, in a town called Brockton. I lived there for three years before my family and I moved out here to Arizona. I think we did it mostly for the weather, and becasue my parents wanted my brother and I to get a better education and be around kinder people. -
We move to Arizona
We moved to Arizona!!! My family and I l ived with my Uncle and Aunt for about six month before we moved into our own house. We have been living here in Peoria at the same house since then. -
I begin Elementary School
I started elementary school when I was five years old. I attended Alta Loma Elementary for all of my K-8 education. It was at that school that I met some of my closest friends, about three of which have stuck with me until today. It was also during seventh grade when I started subconciously getting the idea to become a veterinarian. -
I begin High school
I went to Peoria High School. I was in the marching band, I was a student sports medicine trainer, and I was even in ASL club. This was also where I figured out my calling as a vet. As I began taking science and medicine classes, I found that I excelled at them and enjoyed the information with a fervor. That love has only increased each year throughout my education. From there, it only made sense that I pair that with my lifelong love for horses, and become a horse vet. -
I graduate high school
I graduated in the top 10% of my class. Actually, it may have been top 5%. I was 19 out of about 460ish students. It was because of this that I got the Presidential Scholarship from Maricopa Community Colleges. It was here that I decided to attend Scottdale Community. Back in elementary school, I had gone to a career fair and there was an equine science booth I had gotten information from. It seemed that the info stuck with me all through high school, and made my decision for me. -
I begin at Scottsdale Community College
I started here in 2014 and have been here until present day. I am currently persuing an Associates in Science, and am using equine science classes as electives for it. I am also currently a bio/chem tutor as well. I have SOMEHOW maintained a 3.9 GPA and am hoping to keep it when I graduate. Even though I have to drive 66 miles round-trip each day, it has been worth it. This school and the people I've met have helped me to grow into a much better person. I love it here. -
I will graduate from SCC and start school at University of Arizona
It's crazy how soon this is happening! I will be persuing the second half of my Veterinary Science major at the U of A. I have already been accepted and will be moving down to Tuscon in the fall of 2016. I will be living with my best friend Athena, which will be comforting. It will be my first time living on my own. Two more years until I'm done with undergrad! -
I will graduate from University of Arizona
From this point, I will have graduated from U of A and probably have applied to quite a few vet schools, most notably Colorado State, Washington State, Oregon State, and however man more I can afford. I can only hope that I'll get in the first time around, but I will be ok if that doesn't happen. I will just try the next year. I will probably be going out of state, which is a scary concept. Help. -
With the grace of some greater being, I will graduate vet school
From here on out, I will have officially achieved my dream career. Go me :)
