Dania is born
I was born somewhere in Guatemala city. I do not know the name of the hospital I was born in. I also do not know the time I was born. -
I met Mom and Dad
I was almost 7 months old when my parents flew to Guatemala all the way from Massachusetts. They had to do all payments and sign a bunch of paper work before meeting me for the first time. My mom was the first person to hold me. She literally pulled me out of my birth mother's hands because she was so excited to meet me. -
Dania Starts Kindergarden
I started kindergarten around age 5 or 6. I went to preschool first, but my mom said I started school a little late because I had trouble talking. I went to the Whelan school all through preschool to 5th grade -
Dania starts to love Justin Bieber!
I am not sure the exact date I started to love Justin, but I do remember the first time I heard of him. I heard baby on the radio and I fell in love. I put March 1st because that is the day of his birthday. I still love him and I will probably love him till my death. -
Dania starts Karate
I started karate around age 7 or 8. It was Dad's idea at first because I was always getting picked on and he said I needed a way to protect myself just in case. I said no like 4-5 times, but I was actually interested in starting at a late age. I was little so I did not really understand back then. I got my white belt after my second class and now I am high up in rank at age 14. -
Dania's first IKC out of USA
Well, first of all IKC means international karate championships. My first official IKC Tournament was here in Boston, so it was not that much traveling. I also went to California, New Hampshire, and Maine, but those are not as big as a deal. My first out of country tournament was at Ireland and I ended up getting a medal at 1 out 3 of my divisions. I got a bronze medal for sparring. My other divisions were forms and self defense. -
Dania won her first gold medal out of USA
I try to travel every year somewhere new and in the year of 2016. I have accomplished to win many medals at many different tournaments at different places, but I won a gold medal out of the USA. It was a big deal because it is pretty tough. I won the medal in forms because I knew I was more prepared for that division. I dedicated the win to someone I knew that died and it was because of her I won my first Gold medal in Mexico. -
Dania tests for black belt
I feel really pumped up about my test and also really nervous. My instructor is probably going to be even more strict because turning into a black belt is a big deal in the Kenpo system. They only give people who earn their way their a black belt and I feel proud for getting so far. I can not wait and hope I do good.
