    This is where Charles Darwin first started developing the theory of evolution and natural selection. He observed that the animals there were camouflage and they were adapted to their surroundings.

    Once the HMS Beagle arrived at Sydney, Australia Charles Darwin observed a large amount of mammals the marsupials in Australia, and wondered why there was a different set of mammals on the continent.

    When the HMS Beagle reaches the Keeling Islands Charles Darwin studied the coral reefs to test his theory of atoll formation.

    Once the HMS Beagle reached Mauritius Charles Darwin said he took a walk on the beach and observed that the plain was uncultivated.

    When the HMS Beagle reaches Cape Town Charles Darwin sees there was a lot of bullock wagons and he also observed Table Mountain.

    Charles Darwin when he first got to Bahia observed the jungles and marveled at the number of different animals he saw. He could not fully explore the jungles though because he was homesick and seasick.
