Summary: One of a tribe was encountered by a hero named Odysseus during his return from Troy. Then the tribe invited his men to eat a mysterious plants those who ate the plant were overcome by a blissful forgetfulness. They had to be dragged backwoods the boat. Analyzing: The 5th-century-BC historian Herodotus located the Lotus-Eaters on the Libyan coast.They had to be dragged back to the ship and chained to the rowing-benches, or they would never have returned to their duties. -

Summary: Cyclops are giants that have on eye. They are consider as canibales. Odysseus escape death from Cyclps by blinding it. Analyzing: Cyclops live a rude life because they look different from other people. -
Trojan War
Summary: The Trojan War was a fight between the Greeks and the people of Troy. The Greeks made a fake horse and brought it to the people of Troy. The people of Troy thought it was a gift so they brought it into thier home. Then when the people of Troy brought it into thier base the Greek army popped out of the fake horse and defeated the Troy army. Analyzie: The direct cause of this war was the beauty of Helen of Troy, daughter of the Greek god Zeus and Leda, the Queen of Sparta. -
Circe
Summary: Circe was able o change people into animals. That’s what she did to Odysseus men she turned them into pigs. Analyzing: when she turned them into pigs she gave them thier mind so they could know that they were pigs. -
Sirens
Summary: They approach the island of the lovely Sirens, and Odysseus, as instructed by Circe, plugs his men's ears with beeswax. Then when Odysseus and his men passed the Sirens island Odysseus and his men must navigate the straits between Scylla and Charybdis. Analyzing: Siren, in Greek mythology, a creature half bird and half woman who lured sailors to destruction by the sweetness of her song. -
Aeolus- Bag of Wind
Summary: Aeolus is the controller of wind and a ruler of a island called Aeolia. When Aeolus gave Odysseus a bag of wind one of his men opened it. Then the wind dragged Odysseus men to the island Aeolia. Analyzing: Aeulos children lived on the island with him and his children are not able to mate with anyone outside of the island. They have to mate with each other. -
Scylla and Charybdis
Summary: Once they have passed the Sirens' island, Odysseus and his men must navigate the straits between Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla is a six-headed monster who, when ships pass, swallows one sailor for each head. -
Helios’ cattle
Summary: Lampetie tells Helios that Odysseus' men have slain his cattle. In turn, Helios orders the gods to take vengeance on Odysseus' men. He threatens that if they do not pay him full atonement for the cattle, he will take the sun to the Underworld and shine it among the dead. Analyzing: Odysseus ate the cattle because Eurylochus convinced the men to eat the Cattle. -
