Dred Scott unsucsefully sued for his two kids, wife and his citizenship, The court ruled 7-2 and he was not able to become an official citizen of the united states. this is a sad day in american history because the days of slavery are very very wrong, something that never should have taken place. -
Linclon Assassination
John Wilkes Booth shot President Liclon in the back of the head in Fords Theather in the State box. John evaded capture for a few day s until he was shot and killed. This event proves Significant importance to America because Lincoln was killed for his great works to bring american together. -
Brown Vs. BOE
A surpreme court case that found that segragated schools between black and whites was unconstituional and made the law state that all segragated facilities must be gone and that black and white were equal. This is a major foorprint in american histroy. Blacks were finally able to experiance the same things as whites and what to blacks was the high class end of life. -
MaCarthy Hearings
Joseph MaCarthy accused many people high up in military and political positions of being communist. During this time the red scare was taking place. He blacklisted many people because of his outlandish remarks. This marks americas history as many people probablly went to jail who were innocent due to his remarks. -
Social Security
It began in 1935. Today the social security tax rate is higher then it was in 1935. 5% of american workers are not in the social secruity plan. It is concidered to be an entitlement program which means why you qualify for the program the government must pay the benefit. It is important to american history because it has helped may continue to life a comfortable life because most on it are to old and arent able to work. -

This act abolished discriminatory voting. Anyone who met the age requirement had the right to vote. This event is quite important bcause its one of many that helped bring our nation together as one and see eachother equally. -

Watergate Affair
During the election prosess of Nixion and McGovrern, nixions top officials broke into the democratic headcourters and tried to steal information about the democtacts voting plans, campagin areas, anything that could have helped nixon win the election. Nixion resigned before the house of representatives could impeach him for his poor behavior as president. only Two other president have actually been impeached. -
Clinton Impeachment
Clinton was caught having an affair with his secratary along with other women. This is a sad moment for America because we elected a man who seemed to be good but he turned out to be a failure. -
9/11/01
On September 11, 2001 the world trade center toweres were hit by hyjacked comercial airliners. The pentagon was also hit. The last asumed target was the cpaital building. That plan was taken down by the passangers who stormed the cocpit to stop the terrorists plans. This is one of the saddest and will be one of the most rememberd days in american history. Thousands of people died that day. Inncocent people and many figher fighters gave their lifes in rescue effortts in save those trapped.
