  • The Pure Food and Drug Act

    The pure food and druge act's main effect was to place warning labels onto consumer products that contained hemp.     Henry Ford makes his first Model T with parts made of hemp plastic and could be fueled with hemp ethinol or gasoline. Henry Ford beleived in helping farmers, hence the hemp plastic.

    California passes the first law against the preperation of hemp, but is largly overlooked

    Britian bans use of marijunana recreationally
  • Marijuana Tax Stamp act

    Made it illegal to posses marijuana in the US without a tax stamp

    The Harrison Narcotic Acts lengthens the prison time for drug sentences, as drugs were tools of communist China
  • Narcotics Control Act

    This act placed marijuana in the same drug class as heroine, making the sentences even harsher
  • DEA is Born

    Nixion combines all previous drug agencies into one.
  • Anti-Drug Abuse Act

    President Reagan pass a mandatory extend sentences for anyone being caught of selling drugs. This act also created "three strikes and you're out" and in other words if you were caught with drugs more than three times, your consequence would be life sentence.
  • California allows for medical marijuana

    California passes Proposition 215 making medical marijuana legal
  • Colorado and Washington's Legalization

    Colorado and Washington state are the first states in the US to allow cannabis to be smoked for recreational purposes since the Marajuna Tax Act of 1937. The two states limited the amount of stores that were allowed to sell cannabis; more restrictions were placed in Washington and Colorado was more leniant.
