The Austrian Anschluss
In late 1937, Hitler called for a meeting of all German speaking people. Discussing the matter that Germany could only expand it´s own territory is by ¨resorting to force with its own attendant risk¨ In February 1928 Hitler threatens to invade Austria unless they made Austrian Nazis important roles in their government. Austrian´s chancellor says yes but wants to leave it to democratic vote. Fearing that it may be opposed, Hitler sends troops to announce the Anschluss of Austria and Germany. -
The Munich Conference
In this conference came the appeasement of Hitler's demands. From Britain and France, making concessions in exchange for peace. The supporters from this appeasement thought they gave Hitler everything he wanted because it was only a few things in their view. By doing this they thought they could avoid war.
