  • Earth was Created

    4.6 billion years ago earth was created along with the other planets in the solar system. This is extremely important because it is the start of all of the life we know about.
  • First Bacteria

    Bacteria was one of the first life forms on earth living as far back as 3.5 billion years ago and are still around today. Bacteria have evolved to be able to survive that long and can even be found in living things.
  • Living Plants

    The first living plants formed in the Proterozoic Eon around 3.2 and 2.4 billion years ago and began to give off oxygen making the atmosphere better and safer for future life. But it still took millions of years more for than life to come.
  • Oldest Sponge

    Sea sponges have been around for 760 million years making them one of the oldest organisms on earth and are still here today.
  • Pangaea Formation

    Pangaea was a supercontinent on earth that formed 270 million years ago, but split apart due to tectonic plate movement to eventually form the continents today. Pangaea affected the way any organism that may have lived back then because it was one giant land mass completely surrounded by water.
