    At sunrise the Turks attacked the city and overran it with army men. This wasn't the first attempt to overtake the city of Constantinople in 674 to 678 by the Arabian people. The Turks ravaged through the city taking only what wasn't nailed down. They destroyed the walls surround the city and then left it in shambles. This was the end for Constantinople.

    In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII introduced the new Gregorian calendar to both the Eastern and Western churches. The East decided to keep their old Julian calendar which had been made before the Gregorian calendar. As a result, made the churches have different dates for Easter. This caused more conflict between the two churches.
