    Linked the railraids from the east to west coast. This began to revolutionized the population and economy on the west coast.

    From 1875 until the early 1900's the steel industry had grew substantially from about 400,000 tons anually to about 60million. The name Andrew Carnegie dominated the steel industry with the likes of companies such as U.S. Steel and Bethlehem Steel.

    In 1876 the telephone was invented by Alexander Grahm Bell. This invention allowed quick communication to one another from their homes.
