My favorite person was born
My sister Emma was born on December 29, 2011. She just turned five and is in the process of learning her letters and how to read. It's interesting being in these classes that teach us about the developmental stages of young children and what activities help them learn, because I am able to see how they play out with a child that I have known since her birth. I have been able to apply what I learned in class to how I am helping her learn. -
Traveled to the United Kingdom
I went on a trip to England and Wales with my soccer team. We went sight seeing, went to professional soccer games, toured stadiums, trained with trainers, and played games against local teams from there. It was such an incredible experience. Pictured is my team and the Welsh team we played against after our last game in Wales. -
Graduated High school
I graduated from Milford High school. In this picture are two of my best friends that also came to Shawnee State University for teacher education. -
Saw the Grand Canyon!
I flew to Arizona to visit my sister who lives there, and we took a day to explore the Grand Canyon. This is a picture from the sunset over the canyon. -

Enrolled in EDRE2204
In this class I hope to learn more about how children learn the relationships between the letters, the sounds the make, and the words they create. I also hope to learn ways to promote such learning in the children I will teach in the future.
