    Brown v. Board of Education
The Brown v. the Board of Education case is an important part in educational history because of the opportunities it lead to for students of color. The previous separate but equal law was not truly fair to the African American students, and the new law against segregated schools helped with that. It helped to make sure that schools in low income neighborhoods were still meeting state standards, which ensure that students are gaining the knowledge they need.
  • American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

    American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
President Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was one of the most influential acts for teachers themselves. This act helped to change the low salary that teachers were receiving and also helped to improve the effectiveness of teachers. This has a big impact on students and their schools as well, because without good teachers they would not be receiving a good education.
