    Bloom's Taxonomy
    As the work of educational psychologists spread in the first half of the twentieth century, Benjamin Bloom focused on the theory of mastery learning. Bloom developed what we call Bloom's Taxonomy that centered on three domains of learning. Bloom's Taxonomy is as significant to the education process now as it was in the mid-1900s.

    This movement began in response to declining test scores that were a result of education that focused on life skills instead of core subject content. The Reagan administration pushed the movement to the forefront after "A Nation at Risk" report came out criticizing America's education system. The movement had a positive effect by closing the gap in minority performance.
