The election of 1824, alo known as the "Corrupt Bargain" was the first election where Jackson had ran for president.The canidets were Henry Clay, John Quincy Adams William Crawfird and Andrew Jackson. Henry Clay and William Crawford were quickly elimanated in the elections. Henry Clay was favored by some of the judges and persuaded them to elect John Quincy Adams. Adams was eventually elected. The Election of 1828 was the election were Jackson beat John Quincy adams to become the 7th president of the United States. Jackson beat Adams in the election by almost double electoral votes, so Jackosn became president. Once he was predident, Jackson fired all of the fedrilest judges and supporters of adams and replaced them with democatic judges. -
Bank War
The Bank war was the economic dispute between the 2nd Natonial Bank and Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jacson disliked the bank for 2 reasons: 1, He felt the bank was too powerful and 2, He believed that the bank owners were using it for their own profit. The purpous of the bank was to solve economic problems which it had not been doing well with. Jackson vowed " I will kill it" ,and when the bank was up for a second charter he vetoed the bank once and for all ending the bank war.
