  • A really ashaming experience.

    A really ashaming experience.
All the groups in the institute had to participate in a dance content; and each of them had a really good choreography and had been practicing for a lot of time. Except for us, we’d been struggling with the fact that almost no one wanted to participate in the dance. There were just 10 girls in total, but everything changed when the teacher Dianita said that if the group didn’t want to do the maths exercises, they had to dance. So all the group ended up dancing without knowing the choreography.
  • Jime reunites with her CrossFit friend.

Jime reunites with her CrossFit friend.
The university fair had arrived like every year; and Jime knew what it meant, she could see one of her friends who used to train CrossFit with her in the same gym, and who worked in one of the universities that would go to the school. They hadn’t seen each other for about one year, because he was hired as a coach in another gym located in Tlaxcala. So for that reason Jime was happy.
When she saw her friend, she ran to hug him.
  • Jime and Xime.

    Jime and Xime.
This day was a memorable Valentine’s Day for Jime, because she took a photo with one girl that had a lot in common with her. Actually they shared the same name, the same height and had exactly the same pants.
It was a special day because both Jime and the girl wanted to have a picture together, but for some reason the moment hadn’t happened until that day. Since then they became really good friends.
  • Sorti and leadership.

    Sorti and leadership.
On behalf of the high school pastoral of the Fray Pedro de Gante Institute, he was chosen to go to a leadership workshop in Oaxaca in the company of six other companions. It was an incredible experience because Sorti met people from other Piarist schools in Mexico and he loved the activities carried out to improve our environment in the Piarist community.
The best thing he took with me from this event were friends for life.
  • National Volleyball Tournament.

    National Volleyball Tournament.
Sorti was chosen to represent the state and the school at a National Volleyball Olympiad event.
This event took place at the facilities of the National Polytechnic Institute. It was an amazing experience because he played against 5 states of the republic, having a result of 4 games won and one lost. Nobody expected the role made by the state of Tlaxcala in my category. Sorti also met great friends on and off the court.
  • Chemist Project.

    Chemist Project.
This day, our group had to present a Chemist Project with teacher Claudia. Every one was really nervous beacuse we had to explain a fable that was written by ourselves. Besides that we’d had a lot of trouble in our las semestral project; and the fact that we had to dress formal for the presentation made the moment more worrying for everyone.
Fortunately it was a completely success for all the group and we made the teacher felt proud of us.
  • The perfect trio.

    The perfect trio.
One week after our fist day of classes Nao, Jime and Lau were starting to talk more and more, actually they were becoming friends. In every single class Lau and Jime made sure that Nao wasn’t alone; they invited her to work together and to converse about any random topic.
That’s how a beautiful friendship began. None of three imagined that would happened, but they are really extremely happy that it did.
  • Nao and Ode friendship.

    Nao and Ode friendship.
Nao and other girl called Ode were news at Fray Pedro de Gante Institute and both didn’t used to talk a lot with their groups; so they began a friendship together because a friend of Ode has the boy that Nao liked. In fact, the nickname “comadre” started thanks of that situation.
For that reason they started to talk more with each other and became best friends.
  • Sorti broke up with his girlfriend.

Sorti broke up with his girlfriend.
One Friday afternoon Sorti went to a cafe with her girlfriend. They talked about their relationship and they realized that the relationship was already very difficult because she was already in college, they hardly spoke and much les saw each other, but the most important thing is that in none of them did the same feeling exist as before. So they better decided to put a stop to their history together. It was the best for both of then and they stayed as friends after two years of relationship.
  • Post-synod event.

    Post-synod event.
Sorti spend a weekend in Puebla at a post-synod event in the company of directors, teachers, pastoralists and students from all groups of the Piarist schools in Mexico. Many of the activities addressed the issues of growing the Piarist community in our educational community. It was a time of much reflection of the actions that we would do in Apizaco to incite many people and join their groups.
  • The “mañanero”.

    The “mañanero”.
This day was a special one or all is us because it was our first time that we went to have breakfast together. It was a day when our classes started late so we agreed to have breakfast at a local restaurant and then go back to school together.
For sure that it was a good experience because some of us never had done it before so after that; every single time that our clases started late, we went to have breakfast at the same place.
  • National of Volleyball un Colima.

    National of Volleyball un Colima.
One weekend in which the tradition of day of the dead was celebrated Sorti was in Colima at a National volleyball event. It was a really impressive experience because they realized the great level of volleyball in our country. The boys played eight games, won six, and lost two against teams from Colima. Sorti thinks that it was very pleasant and fun to spend one more tournament with his best friends.
  • Chasing a crush.

    Chasing a crush.
This day was really funny because at the end of the classes, Lau, Nao and Jime were walking through the halls when a boy appeared and ask them if they had a lab coat. The girls said that they hadn't but they would help to find one.
That boy was Lau’s crush and she wanted to took a picture with him but she was really nervous and couldn’t ask him; so Nao and Jime had to chase the boy and find the perfect moment to ask him to take a picture with the three and then just with Lau.
  • Calasancios Games Opening.

    Calasancios Games Opening.
This day was the Calasancios Games Opening and we had to go to the elementary school installations to participate in it. Nao was supposed to dance in the opening in company of her friend Ode but they disagreed with the other girls about the clothing so both Nao and Ode decided to go dressed with their own outfits. That made the other girls to be upset with them, but at the end everything went as they’d planned.
  • Sorti’s favorite Calasancios Games.

    Sorti’s favorite Calasancios Games.
In Piarist schools it is a tradition to play Calasancios games. The Calasancios games at the Fray Pedro de Gante Institute are incredible experiences for each of the students. Until now, the Calasancios games of the last year have been the best he has experienced because Sorti played everything, had a great time in the company of his group and they also served to unite us more men and women.
  • An unexpected visit.

    An unexpected visit.
This day was the last of the Calasancios Games, and Jime was really normal seeing the matches of her group when suddenly Leo told her that her best friend Chabe, who used to study at the institute; was going visit them to the school.
Jime felt really happy and excited because she and her best friend hadn’t seen each other for over half a year. Both Jime and Chabe spent as much time as possible because they knew that after that it would be a little bit difícil to see each other again.
  • An astronaut in the school.

    An astronaut in the school.
This experience was really good and exiting for Jime and for everyone in general. This event was extremely important that a lot of people from different schools gone to the institute only to hear the conference that the astronaut was going to offer.
Hearing te testimony of someone that had been in the space was amazing! And for Jime was a life lesson too, because she felt encouraged to do what she wants and to work hard for it.
  • A new friendship.

    A new friendship.
This was the day that all the girls had their picture taken together. Nao, Lau and Jime used to go to the volleyball courts to wait for Jime’s sister.
It was there where Jime and Lau began to relate more to Nao's friends, who were the same age as Jime’s sister.
They always conversed about any random topic and a new friendship was formed between all of them.
  • Our retreat.

    Our retreat.
This was one of the best experiences that we had; because we had never gone to a retreat out of the state. The retreats that we’d had before took place near the town, so having an experience like that was super exciting.
All the generation gone to Río Frío. At the beginning we weren’t happy with it because we wanted that every group had its own retreat as always, but being there spending time with friends from different group only made the experience more rewarding and enjoyable.
  • Itaka.

    Itaka.
Jime enjoyed a volunteering group at the school without having any experience about it; it was just something new for her and a beautiful experience.
This day was the last one of one section that the whole group had with a priest. Being there made her feel happier because of what she was doing. Jime could learn more about God’s love and change her mind; besides learning some things about the life of adult people.
