Nuclear plant
After that tsunami while occur for 4-6 days that got rate as 7 on INES scale. 4 reactor has been damage. Even though Japanese has high technology that include earthquake censer to shut down the nuclear plant. There wasn't enough time to let the nuclear plant to cool down because that tsunami was a lot worst than that thought. -
After Explotion
After two weeks, the three reactors (units 1-3) were stable with water addition and by July they were being cooled with recycled water from the new treatment plant. Official 'cold shutdown condition' was announced in mid-December -
Effect of nuclear explotion
radioactive cesium had contaminated 11,580 square miles from japan's island. Sea animal and environment got effect by it. Most of fish got radiation which cost them to die or got disease. After 4 year of the accident, there are still radiation that can be detected in the west of america.
