    Ottoman Victory (Battle of Varna)

    Catholic Powers defeated by the Ottoman Empire. The pope surrenders and Hungary is forced to cede land to the Ottomans. Further ottoman expansion into Europe is now open with the occupation of the Balkans.
  • May 29, 1453

    Fall of Constantinople

    The Roman Empire, ruling the mediterranean for over 2000 years, has finally fallen to the Ottoman Empire
  • Jan 5, 1492

    The New World is discovered

    Spanish Christopher Columbus has finally reached the new world, opening new trade routes and expansion for the rest of Europe.
  • Dec 10, 1508

    War of Cambrai

    The Holy Roman Empire calls for a crusade on Italy, who have recently left the Empire voluntarily.
  • Jan 5, 1579

    Dutch War of Independence

    The HRE's power is slowly decreasing as the Dutch declare independence from the Dutch states of HRE.
  • Thirty Year's War

    The HRE becomes religiously divided between Catholic and Protestant, instigating the largest German war ever recorded. This war ends in a stalemate, with external interference.
  • Solidification of Great Powers in Europe

    All minor states have been largely annexed by larger powers such as Spain or France, and the HRE is slowly falling towards decline with the release of states such as Prussia, Netherlands and Italy.
  • America Declares Independence

    The first colonial nation, America, previously ruled by the UK, declares independence.
  • The French Revolution

    Republican ideas spread across France as it devolves into chaos, overthrowing the monarchy.
  • Fall of the Holy Roman Empire

    Revolutionary France annexes all the states of the HRE, creating client states and ruling all of western Europe. Although this regime falls, the HRE remains fallen, and Europe enters into the modern age as a more unified continent of republics and constitutional monarchies.
