In 1008 Torfinn Karlsefni and about 160 other people set sail to vinland to establish a settlement. They didn't say for long but while they did Thorfinn and his wife (Gudrid) had a son and they named him Snorri. People thought that Snorri was the very first European born in Noth America. -
