    The Battle of Britain was the first majorcapaign fought entirely by air forces. The Royal Air Force (RAF) and Luftwaffe fought against each other for three months on the British airspace. The Luftwaffes started attacking the RAF airfields and soon started attacking with terror bombing strategy. By the Germans gainging air superiority the British forced Hitler to postpone the planned attack on Britain. The Germans failed.

    The Battle of El Alamein was fought on the northern coast of Egypt in Alamein, Egypt. this battle was between the Axis army, the German, and the Africa Corps, which is Italy. The battle was commanded by Ervin Rommel and Allied forces from the Eighth Army. The British had prevented a second advance by the Axis forces into Egypt.

    The Invasion of Sicily/Italy's codename is Operation Husky. The Allies took Sicily from the Axis Powers (Italy and Nazi Germany. The invasion started on the night of July 9-10 in 1943, and wanted to achieved the goals set out by the Allied Planners. This happened in Sicily, Italy between the Allies and the Axis. Many naval forces were opened in the Mediterranean. As a result from the invasion, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini was taken from power in Italy, which opened the way for the invasion.

    Operation Overlord was a code name for the Battle of Normand. Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower came up with a plan and it was for Allies to have landed a vast amount of men and equipment by the end of D-Day. Nearly 12,000 men and 2,000 aircraft went lost in the Allies and over 425,000 Allied and German troops went missing, killed, or were wounded. Operation Overlord happened because it was a plkanned attack to gain France back friom the Germans in WWII.

    Adolf Hitler killed himself because he wanted to escape the disgrace of deposition or capiulation. He and his newly wife Eva Braun were the onlly ones present when he committed suicide in Hitlers bunker beneath Berlin. He shot himself in the head with a 7.65mm pistol after swallowing cyanide just before 3:30 P.M.

They celebrated victory because it offically announced the end of Worl War II in Europe.

This war was six years of naval warfare that used German u-boats and warships, that eventually led the Germsns to surrender to the Allies. This battle happened on the Atlantic Ocean between the Allied Naval blockade of the Germans and British and Canadian navies and air forces. The Battle of the Atlanric was to control the Atlantic lanes that involved thousands of ships and has streched across the ocean.
