The Protestant Reformation began in England with Martin Luther nailing the 99 theses to the door of All Saint's Church. English Civil War
The English civil war was influenced by a few things. First, Charles I married Henrietta and began to push Catholic influence on the church. This angered many people. He also closed Parliament prior to this. Next, he tried to tax the people unfairly in order to fund other wars. Finally, the Parliament took over the military.
