The japanese imperial army went into the capital of china, Nanking. They murdered 300,000 civilians. Children, infants, elderly were focused on, and women, It represented the single worst atrocity during WW2. This happened due to Japan seeing china as beneath them and wanted control of china.

Ribbentrop/Molotov Pact
Germany and the Soviet Union signed the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact. It meant that both militarites agreed to not take military action against each other in the next 10 years. Soviet Union signed to build up their army. Germany signed for being able to invade poland unopposed. -
