    Battle of Gonzales
    The first battle of the Texas Revolution. Mexican Colonel Ugartechea ordered the town of Gonzales to give up their small brass cannon wich was given to them to fend off native americans. When the mexicans arived at the town; an armed texan force, commanded by Colonel John H. Moore, fended them off and started the Texas Revolution.

    the Texas Declaration of Independance
    On March 1 1836, 54 delagates from all over Texas met at Washington-on-the-Brazos for the Convention of 1836. George C. Childress was elected to write the Texas Declaration of Independance and so he did. This gave moral boosts to the troops fighting the war.

    the Fall of the Alamo
    The defenders of the Alamo fended off the mexican army for 13 days before it fell on March 6 1836.It bought time for Sam Houston to train his army to deliver the killing blow to Santa Anna's. This event also gave the Texans an even bigger reason to fight. 3 of the Famous texan fighters died after the walls were breached. They included David Crockitt, Col. Travvis and James Bowie

    The Runnaway Scrape took place on March 11 1836. The Texan settlers over heard that Santa Anna would burn anything in his way to Houstons troops. They fled for their lives, leaving everything behind except for a few ecceintials.They were on the road for the Sabine River

    Fannins Surrender at Coleto Creek
    Col. Fannin was the commander of the Texas Army at goliad. He recieved orders from Sam Houston to retreat from the mission they were stationed at; Prissidio la Bahia. He neglected the orders for 5 days; when he finally surrendered it was March 19 and the mexican army (commanded by Gen. Urrea) was marching to their possition. The mexicans reached them and recieved reinforcements. Fannin wanted his men to be safe so he surrendered; in hope he and his men would be P.O.W.s.

    the Goliad Massacre
    7 days after Fannins surrender at Coleto Creek. Fannin and his men were locked in the prison of Pressidio la Bahia. The day they were massacred they were marched out onto an open plain and shot. Some of them escaped. Gen. Urrea actualy wanted to keep the P.O.W.s alive but Santa Anna ordered them all to die.

    Santa Anna Burned Harrisburg to scare Texan soilders into surrendering. It realy made the Texans outraged that he would burn towns. Thanks to this the Texas soilders prevailed with bravery.

    Vince's Bayou Bridge is Destroyed
    Sam Houston located Santa Annas camp and was planning a full out assault. Sam Houstons plan was to destroy Vince's Bayou Bridge to stop the Mexican army from retreating. He sent troops to do so and that gave the Texan army a big advantage.

    The battle of San Jacinto won the Texas revolution for the Texans. Sam Houston planned the battle for precision and time. The battle started at 4:00 P.M. and lasted only 18 minutes. During the battle the Texans captured Santa Anna which led to the treaties of Velasco.

    Treaties of Velasco
    The treaties of Velaso involved Santa Anna agreeing to several terms that Sam Houstonhad made in order to stop the Texas revolution. The public treaties forced all Mexican soilders out of Texas. The secret treaties made the new border of Texas set at the Rio Grande and Santa Anna would speak for the Republic of Texas in good faith for exchange for his life.
