    Religion:Roman Catholic Background: Balboa was originally from Spain. He set out to discover the western seas with Rodrigo de Batistas. This is where he later found the Pacific Ocean.

    Religion: Christianity Background: These settlers originated from England. The settlers partnership with the Indians collapsed which later caused the Indians to go to war with the settlers. This was the last major effort by the Indians to drive out the English settlers.
