    Germany attacked from the ground and the air. 1.5 millon german troops invade poland along its 1,750 miles border. The invasion was lead by the nazis. Germans were carried out by 62 division and 1,300 air craft. The invade on poland was by Adolf Hitler. Hitlers genearls asked for more time to complete there defensese but hitler ignored. Hitler thought the invasion on poland would be an easy defeat.

    on june 22, 1941, germany invaded soviet union. it was the largest military operation in history. It had 3 million axis troops and 3,500 tanks. Reports said the soviet forses are weak.Soviet was unprepared when they got invaded by germany. His armmies and air craft were caught suprise when they got invaded.

    On december 7,1941, Japanese airplanes came unexpecaly and attack we did not think they were coming. United states and japan wanted to go to war for decades and they came unecpected and attacked and the thing that united states did wrong is they put there boats all in the same spot so what japan did is bomb them and in the same spot by the boats alot of them exploed quickly because of the other ones.

    Operation Gomorrah
    in 1943, is when british bombers Hamburg,Germany, in the night. 2,300 ton of increndiary bombs on hamburg just in a few hours. More than 1,5000 german civilans were killed on the first british attack. The british only lost 12 aircraft on this raid 791 aircrafts flew. British attackes on hamburg lasted until November that year. Killing 30,000 people and destroying 280,000 bulidings.

    more than 160,000 allied troops landed along 50 mile of the frech coast line to fight the nazis germany on beaches of normady. More than 5,000 ships and 13,000 air craft supported the d day invasion. 9,000 allied soliders were killed or wounded. More than 127 airplanes were lost. About 17 millon maps supported the mission. This was the largest seaborne in history.

    in 1945, Great britian and the united states celebrate a victory in Europe day. German surrandered. After about 8,000 soliders lost there lives. ve day is celebrated on may 8. May 8 the germans finnaly surrenderd hitler commited suicied it was left to Grand Admiral Donitz who had been prisedent of the third reich for a week to surrender and they surrendered so that is why they celebrate ve day on the 8 of may because they surrendered finnally.

    on augest 6, during WWII an ameracan b-29 bomber dropped the first atomic bomb on japenese city. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city it immetily killed 80,000 people other people died from radition exoposer. Three days later a second B-29 droped anthor bomb a bomb on Nagasaki killing an estimet of 40,000 people. The manhatten project costs 2 billon dollers.
