    The Ornithopter

    The Ornithopter
In 1485, inventor, philosopher, and architect Leonardo da Vinci invented the worlds first "Jetpack." The Ornithopter was a set of wings that you strap to your back and are supposed to fly with. This inspired people to fly. People started making their own flying machines. And this is why today we can fly in planes, helicopters, and hang gliders.(This is not the exact date, all the website told me was 1485)
  • The Hang Glider

Early hang glider designs did not reliably achieve safe flight, their builders lacking a comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles of flight.(Not exact date)
  • The Wright Bros.

The Wright brothers, Orville (August 19, 1871 – January 30, 1948) and Wilbur (April 16, 1867 – May 30, 1912), were two American brothers, inventors, and aviation pioneers. The two brothers dreamed of human flight since their childhood. who were credited with inventing and building the world's first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight.
  • The Helicopter

Helicopters were developed and built during the first half-century of flight. The first ever fully operational helicopter was the Focke-Wulf Fw 61.
  • The Jetpack.

Richard Peoples flew his first tethered flight on his Aeropack at the start of 1960.
  • And Finally....

Birds have been an inspiration to our dream of flying since the dream began. We got the idea for planes and hang gliders from the structure of their wings. So thanks birds for all the help.
