The First Mustang
One of the most well known American muscle cars designed by Ford over 50 years ago, The Mustang. Designed by Lee Lacocca the Mustang first appeared on April 17, !964, to the public in the Ford Pavilion, New York Worlds Fair. -
Second Generation
The second generation mustang was introduced in a showroom in 1973. It was manufactured from 1973 though 1978. -
Third Generation
The third generation Mustang was built from 1979 until 1993. The 1980 Mustang had a 302 cubic liter V-8 engine that could be purchased with a turbo. The engine could make 119 horse power. -
Fourth Generation Mustang
The fourth generation Mustang was built from 1994 until 2004. They then introduce the Cobra model in 1995. The Cobra R had a 351 cubic liter engine and could make 300 horse power. Then in 2003 they came out with a Mustang that had a 4.6 liter engine and had 390 horse power. -
Fifth Generation Mustang
The fifth generation mustang was introduced in 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee as a celebration for Mustang's 40th anniversary. Ford also introduced the GT500 which had a 5.4 liter engine with 500 horse power. -
Sixth Generation Mustang
The sixth generation Mustang is the one that we all see today on the roads. The car was introduced in 2014. You can get three engine options in the car: 3.7 liter V-6, 2.3 liter eco boost with better fuel economy, or the 5.0 V-8 with a lot of torque. It has a new intake manifold and new cylinder heads to increase the breathability in the engine. It is also possible to get 20 inch wheels.
