    French and Indian War
    The french and Indian War was also known as the Seven Years’ War and was the war between the British and New France, of Great Britain and France, and also Native American allies. Cause- The French and the British were fighting over the Ohio river valley. Effect- Britain won and took control of the colonies in America.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 eliminated westward expansion beyond the Appalachian Mountains. it was a British act to prohibit the Americans. Cause- England was in debt from he Seven years war. Effect- Ended colonial expansion.

    The Stamp Act was that every legal document had taxes on them Cause- England parliament implented the Stamp act so they could raise money to pay for war debts. Effect- Colonists boycotted British goods.

    Townshed Acts
    The Townshed acts were a a series of acts passed, beginning in 1767, by the Parliament of Great Britain relating to the British colonies in North America. Cause-Britain one again needed money, because boycotted their other goods. Effect-The colonists boycottted British goods.

    The tea was taxes just on tea. The tea act one of the several measures that the British took on the Colonist in America. Cause- The British were heavily in debt. Effect- the colonists felt is was just another injustice To display their outrage, =many of them dressed as Indians, boarded an English vessel and dumped the store of tea into the Harbor, known as the Boston Tea Party.

    The Boston Tea party was was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, on December 16, 1773. The sons of liberty dressed like Indians and dumped tea in the Boston Harbor. Cause-The colonist had had enough and they were upset about the tea act. Effect- the Intolerable Acts, were intended as punishment for the destruction of property. One of these acts actually shut down trade in the city of Boston until the damages could be repaid.

    1st Continental Congress was a meeting of delegates from twelve of the thirteen colonies that met on September 5 to October 26, 1774 at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, early in the American Revolution. Cause- They discussed the current situation with Britain including the Intolerable Acts, which the British Parliament had imposed on Boston as punishment for the Boston Tea Party. Effect- They formalize a boycott of British goods and to set up a Second Continental Congress.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    Battle of Lexington and Concord were the first military wars of the American Revolutionary War. They were fought on April 19, 1775, in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Cause- The Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, and the "Intolerable Acts" all angered the colonists. Effect- Those battles helped unite the colonies against King George III and were the start of The Revolutionary War.

    The Declaration of Independence has great significance to the American people because it is what led to our independence from King George III. They thought the Americans shouldn't be free. The Americans won because they became free of Britain.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    Despite their loss, the inexperienced colonial forces inflicted significant casualties against the enemy, and the battle provided them with an important confidence boost. The important people were John Stark and William Howe. The british won. The British were in Boston moving away from the battle of lexington and concord and the armed colonist saw them. The effect was that the British took possession of both Breed's Hill and Bunker Hill

    a small but important battle during the American Revolutionary War which took place on the morning of December 26, 1776, in Trenton, New Jersey. Important people were George Washington,Nathanael Greene, and Andreas von Wiederholdt. The cause was that the Americans were losing many battles and George Washington decided to cross the Delaware river to defeat the Hessians. The effect was that the Hessians were defeated
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    It was a crucial victory for the Patriots during the American Revolution and is considered the turning point of the Revolutionary War. The important people were John Burgoyne, Horatio Gates, and Benedict Arnold. The americans won the battle. The cause was that the Brish had a plan to strategically control New York and isolate New England from the Southern colonies in an effort to end to the Revolution. The effect was that the American victories led France to sign the Alliance with the Unite
  • Valley Forge

    "Baron" von Steuben, a Prussian officer trained the Continental Army like Prussian standards, which actually were superior to those of the British Army. It helped the army defeat the British. The important people were General George Washington, General Friedrich von Steuben, and General Marquis de Lafayette. No one won the battle, because no battle was fought there. The Americans were unable to keep the British out of Philadelphia. The effects that they were able to beat the British later.

    the benefits were that the document created a bridge to connect the individual States by empowering league of friendship among them. Its drawbacks were the central government that was established left with insufficient power. That is why it was a weak government that could not efficiently run the nation. It lasted from 1777–1781
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    Was the British at Yorktown Washington sent his French and Americans soldiers to surround Yorktown by land.
    The British were now surrounded and they were forced to surrender. The important people were General George Washington and Charles Cornwallis. The Americans won the battle. The cause was that the British army needed more supplies and the Americans had a plan to entrap them and it worked. The effect was that the revonlutionary war was over.

    A document that ended the Revolutionary war between Great Britain and the U.S. The important people were Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay. The cause was that the Americans had won thewar and Great Britain had to sign the treaty. The effect was that Britain had to leave America and take all of their troops with them. They also had to recognize America as a free country.

    It happened because poor farmers from western Massachusetts were fighting against high taxes followed Daniel Shays in an attempt to seize the arms stockpiled at the Springfield Armory. It related to the articles of confederation because Daniel Shay convinced to fix the articles of confederation.

    This event was significant because it allowed all the states to have the kind of representation in Congress that they wanted. The people thaought it gave the people to juch power. everybody won because they all compromised.

    it was significan because it was basically that 3/5 of the southern slave population would count as citizens for there respective state this increased that states total population The white colonists thought the slaves shouldnt have been able to vote. The slaves won because they at least got a little freedom.
