    French and Indian War

    Stretching from 1754 to 1763 this war was fought in North America between the French and the English. This war was a highly costly war as the French Colonies were not as advanced as the English colonies so the majority of troops and supplies coming to the war from France had to be transported across the ocean. In order to counteract the cost the French Government hired Indians to fight for the French but troops don't come cheap and these soldiers cost the French a ton of money.
  • Famine

    The French government was broke a string of unsuccessful war coupled with the disaster harvest of 1788, had broke the people who were paying taxes and had broken the government. With the peasants unable to pay taxes the French government had been forced to go deeper and deeper into debt. Until they couldn't go deeper any more. With the nobility refusing to pay and the peasants dirt broke France was in term oil and grave danger.

    Revolts in Paris force the king to move to Paris
  • Constitution

    With France broke, riots turned out in the streets and the King was forced to call on the national assembly, But a new card was about to be dropped on the day of the national assembly the Third Estate was locked out. With this outrage the Third Estate took over a tennis court and said they refused to leave until a constitution was drafted.
