    Galileo was born on February 15, 1564. He was born in Pisa, Italy and was the first born out of seven siblings.His parents are Giula and Vincenzio Galilei.

    In the year 1619, the first african slaves were sent to Jamestown, Virginia. It was to aid the production of tobacco being made. Since it was the first export of slaves, there was about only twenty on the journey there.

  • Galileo visits Rome

    Galilei had written a book and it was published in 1632. "Dialogue concerning the two chief world systems" was that book. Galileo had expressions all his arguments on the "heliocentricism debate" and was trying to get his thoughts across to other people and the rest of the world.

  • Galileos downfall

    After Galileo angers the pope, he is tried by the Inquisition for the suspicion of heresy. He is forced to renounce his heliocentric view. The pope did not agree with Galileo's ideas and got him angry. Galilei also had to start serving an "indefinite term" of house arrest.

    Yet again Galileo Galilei has been creating another book of science. In the year 1638 this book is published first in the Netherlands. Galileo's book is "Dialogue Concerning Two New Sciences". It compared the Copernican system and the traditional Ptolemaic system.

  • Death

    Galileo tramatically died on January 8, 1642. He was 78. His death started when he grew a fever and it seized his arthritis pains and made them more acute. He died in Arcetri, Italy.
