Leaving form Portugal
We are setting off today on our long voyage. We are leaving from the port of Avelro. It is nice here. The people are always busy going from one place to another. The food is always fish with something else. -

On the way to China
We have been on the ocean for about two months. The weather is starting to warm up. Last week the ship went through a large storm. It took five men from us and about 15 days worth of food. Because of this we have to make an early stop on the coast of South Africa. -

Sailing to China
We are most of the way to China. The water is getting boring. I hope that we can catch a swift current. The weather is still nice but it will be cooling down in about a month or so. Nothing exciting has really happened yet. -

Arriving at China
We arrived at the port of Xiamen. Just in time as well because our food has almost ran out . It reminds me of Portugal. Everyone likes to eat rice and their fish uncooked. One of the main things traded is bamboo. We plan to go to some more ports in China and then head back to Portugal. -

Arriving in the Zhoushan port
We arre at our second port in China. It is very similar to the fist one. The pople here look about the same and carry the same traditions. These people have different things to trade. I hope that the next port will be more diverse than the fisrt two ports. -

Arriving at the Shekou port
We have arrived at the Shekou port in china. It is the third and last prt we are visiting. After we leave we will be going back to Portugal. This port is very much the same as the first two. We are only getting very exotic things from here since we have gotten the essential things bac k at the first two ports. -

On the way back to Portugal
The captain says that we are about halfway back to Portugal. The weather is warm this time of year. We are goin to have to stop again to get more food. We had enough food to last us till we got back but we were robbed by another boat. They took most of our food and killed some of our men. -

Arriving at port Elizabeth
We have made it to port Elizabeth in South Africa. The place is a safari. We have gotten to eat new animals. The only bad thing about having to go to another port is that we had to trade some of the things e got from China. I hope that we will still have enough to please the throne . -

Almost to Portugal
We are almost back to Portugal, just a couple more months at sea. More men have died from sickness. I hope the captain will be able to get the rest of us back healthy. We have had to dump a lot of our food because its has spolied from not being preserved. -

End of Voyage
We have made it back to portugal. We have lost about a fourth of our men on the way back. We all are looking forward to seeing out families again. Lots and lots of new materials have come back with us. The throne will give a fortune for what we have done.
