On his way out of the Parson's flat, Winston sees the inscription announcing INGSOC of which Newspeak was the vocabulary. He then remmebers an event in which an unknown voice says, "We shall meet..." -
Winston sees war film
After he enters the date, April 4, 1984 he is at a loss for words. He think remembers the war propoganda film he saw which encouraged the audience to take delight in mindless slaughter. -

2 Minute Hate
Morning ritual in which Emmanuel Goldstein's, "The Enemy of the People" picture is broadcasted. Rumored to have been part of the founding Party, he was suppose to have betrayed the Party's ideals and joined up wth Eastasia or Eurasia to fight Oceania. He is rumored to have penned an inflammatory work simply called, "The Book" and to be the head of a dangerously subversive group called "The Brotherhood" -
