  • Creation of UGA

    When UGA was incorporated by an act of the general assembly on January 27, 1785.
    In 1801 the school was finally established so students could get an education..
  • Tent Revival

    By 1892 the 500 members began a new brick building at the site of many.
    Brought religion to more people on the country side of Georgia.
  • Cotton Gin

    Cotton Gin was established by Eli Whitley and it was used to remove seeds from cotton easier.
    The invention depended the reliance on slavery in the Southern Society.
  • Dahlonega Gold Rsuh

    Gold was found on the land that belonged to natives so settlers forced natives to leave.
    In 1829 over 1000 people had flooded in lusting for gold, but by 1830 there was over 4000 miners.
  • RailRoads

    1832- Started the charter of rail roads which helped transport cotton faster
    The rail roads connected Athens, Augusta, Macon, etc.
  • Worcester v Georgia

    Was a case in which the United States States Supreme Court chose the conviction of Sam Worcester.
    He believed that Georgia over- stepped their boundaries.
