    Expanding the Horizons
    On November 5, 1937, Hitler met with his top military advisers. He told them in order for them to become more powerful and to expand, they will have to take control of neighboring countries. The first two places he wanted to take over was Austria and Czechoslovakia. One of those advisers protested, saying he believes it will start a war. Hitler replied by saying, "The German Question can be solved only by the means of force and this is never without risk." Hitler knew it will start the war.
  • March to Austria

    March to Austria
    Hitler ordered the German troops to march to Austria. The majority of Austria favored the unification and Germany ended up announcing the union was complete with Austria.
  • Start of The Racial Purity

    Start of The Racial Purity
    Hitler ordered all "non Aryans" to be removed from government jobs. He had alot of power in Germany and this was when the racial purity started.
  • Munich Agreement

    Munich Agreement
    Htiler got the British prime minister Neville Chamberlain, and French Premier, Edouard Daladier, to sign the Munich Agreement, This agreement turned Sudetenland, western border regions, over to Germany without anyone getting hurt. He was able to persuade them to do this by telling them it was his "last territorial demand".
  • Jewish Attack

    Jewish Attack
    Nazi storm troopers attacked Jewish homes, buisnesses, and synagogues. Over 100 Jewish people were killed and hundreds were injured.
  • Aftermath of The Attack

    Aftermath of The Attack
    People were examining the streets and everything was destroyed. Buisnesses windows were shadowed and it was the aftermath of the attack.
  • The Remaining Czechoslovakia

    The Remaining Czechoslovakia
    German troops marched into what remained of Czechoslovakia. They took over it and his next quest was Poland.
  • Nonagression Pact

    Nonagression Pact
    The nonagression pact was signed by Stalin. This committed that Germany and Russia would never attack each other. This was great for Germany because they wouldn't have to fight a two- front war. In World War one, the two-front war exhausted Germany. So now the threat of losing was out the window.
  • Suprise Invasion

    Suprise Invasion
    Htiler launched a suprise invasion on Denmark and Norway. Hitler said he did it to protect those countries' independence and freedom. But he only did it to build bases along the coasts to fight against Great Britain.
  • RAF

    RAF
    The RAF (Britains Royal Air Force) shot down over 185 German planes. Six weeks later Hitler called off the invasion of Britain defiency.
