  • Eastern Front - Russia is Defeated

    In early 1918 Germany had defeated Russia on the eastern front and the Bolshevik government ad been forced to sign a humiliating treaty, that gave Germany its most precious land and three-quarters of its iron ore.
    This had an immense positive effect on Germany, not only had they been improved economically but also gained mass land.
    Eastern front now directed the Western front, breakthrough is made in the Ludendorff Offensive.
  • Reversal - The allies

    The allies were stronger than Germany had expected and Germany itself was weaker than anyone expected, Germany had lost millions in war already and was now being backed up against a wall. With the USA helping the allies by providing them with arms and soldiers, Germany was no longer going to win the war. This was clear by now.
  • Disaster - Allies Counter-Attack

    The allies counter attacked, Germany had little resistance left. Within a few weeks the Allies had recaptured all the land that the means had gained in the past three months. German territory was also threatened. By September it was clear that Germany ha dot negotiate peace, there was no longer a way for Germany to win the war. German civilians faced starvation, Germany was in a desperate state. No other option other than peace.
  • Germany After War

    Germans were infuriated at the losses of World War One, everything had gone down in vain. With the Kaiser’s government falling a new constitution arrived, The Weimar Republic. Where a president as head of state would be selected, along with a chancellor. This new government was to be the new government of Germany until Hitler’s rise to power.
