I will write my goal down and share it with my parents because I know they will help me stay on track. -

$1,000 Emergency Fund
I plan to save $1,000 in the next year for an emergency fund by saving $84 each month from my paycheck for an emergency fund because the opportunity cost of saving is more important than spending the money on shopping for myself. -

After two months I should have saved $168. If this limit isn't met than I will save the shortage as well as the amount needing to be saved for next month. -

My emergency fund savings should now be at $336. -

Since this is the halfway point of my years goal. I will evaluate how mcuh money I have saved and tweak my goal in order to stay on track for saving $1,00 this year. -

I shoud have saved $756 by now. If i have't saved this much then I will save the shortage added onto the next months saving. -
$1,000
I should be at $1,000. By having a goal for reaching this amount I will have reached the $1,000 by evaluating how mcuh I have saved at different intervals of the year and then adjusting it from there.
