  • Garfield Gets Real

    Garfield Gets Real
Garfield Gets Real (2008) for the DS was one of if not my first memorable game experience. I got a DSi for Christmas and this game was what I spent the most time on, although after restarting multiple times I couldn't pass the 3rd level, a playground themed 2d platformer, being an inexperienced 6 year old.
  • Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise

    Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise (2008) was my first game on a console, the Xbox 360. Although I had several other games such as 3 separate Skylanders games, I hadn't spend nearly as much time playing in comparison. All the way up to 2019 I would start a new garden a few times a year and improve from my last one. I am currently looking for a cheap Xbox 360 to play through this game again
  • Pokémon: Ultra Moon

    Pokémon: Ultra Moon
Pokémon: Ultra Moon(2017) was my first game on the 3DS, and the entire reason I bought one. I had always collected Pokémon cards and the games were enjoyed by a lot of my friends, so I had saved up to buy a 3DS and a copy of Ultra Moon the day it came out. This was my proper introduction to Pokémon and I then became a much bigger fan, and had a 3DS to use for other cool games I wanted.
  • Yokai Watch 2: Bony Spirits

    Yokai Watch 2: Bony Spirits
Yokai Watch 2: Bony Spirits (2014) was the second franchise game I was introduced to once I owned a 3DS. A friend of mine had encouraged me to play it and the first game, and when I did we organised a challenge run that we attempted. This was the first time I was introduced to challenge run videos and gaming on Youtube, and I have been a big enjoyer since.
  • Pokémon: Sword

    Pokémon: Sword
Pokémon: Sword (2019) was the first new game on my switch, and also introduced me to open world games. It was also the highest quality game id played thus far and includes a lot of my favourite Pokémon from the franchise as my favourite game of the series.
  • Undertale

    Undertale
Undertale (2015) was the first game I played when I got a Nintendo Switch, and was the first combat focused game I played with mechanics beyond turn based. The Pacifist and Genocide runs were also my first introduction at games built to be a challenge. I enjoyed it a lot as well as Toby Fox's other games.
  • Little Nightmares

    Little Nightmares
Little Nightmares (2017) was the first game I played on my new steam account once I saved up enough to buy a pc. This was a great introduction to pc gaming and is one of my favourite games I've played so far.
  • Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (2017) for the Switch was one of my favourite games I have ever played. The massive world, combat and developed story were new experiences for me, and gave me an incredible amount of playtime.
  • Elden Ring

    Elden Ring
Elden Ring (2022) is my favourite game I've played. At first I struggled, giving up after around 20 hours and moving on with my life. but after watching one of my favourite content creators playthrough several times I tried again, this time with knowledge that helped me immensely. Over a few months I put hundreds of hours, getting every achievement, killing every boss and trying many builds and mods. It introduced me to a more challenging side of games that I have embraced since.
  • Dying Light

    Dying Light
Dying Light (2015) is a very intense open world combat game, and was the first game I played that had more of a serious tone, being set in a post apocalyptic, zombie infested world
  • Hollow Knight

    Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight (2017) is my first "metroidvania", a game focused on moving through levels and upgrading your movement to do better in combat. Hollow Knight is another game with some notoriously hard challenges, which I enjoyed all of a lot. Team Cherry, the developers, are an SA based team and are currently working on their next game, Hollow Knight: Silksong. I admire this team for turning a gamejam project into something so widely enjoyed and aspire to have a similar career.
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro (2019) was another game I played notorious for being difficult. I enjoyed this game an incredible amount, and has encouraged me to look at more games Fromsoftware are well known for. This game is difficult and there is no significant power scaling past how much you can heal or different skills you can use in fights, so it depends entirely on the players skill and how much they can utilise these skills with the base mechanics.
  • Baldurs Gate 3

    Baldurs Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 (2023) has taken up most of the last few months of my life, playing with friends and also by myself. The incredible amount of choices, interactions and environments in the game have made an amazing experience for a lot of people, and is one of few games I've played with a still thriving community, meaning I can also watch new videos as they come out and benefit from patches and updates as they come out.
