Charity

The virtue of charity is rooted in the beatitudes and is required for kindness. In the beatitude "Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy." it states that those who help others because it is right and not to benefit themselves will be shown God's mercy. We have to do things for the common good even if it doesn't benefit us at all.

Hope

6 BCE

Hope is rooted in our society and lives. Without hope we wouldn't be able to get through rough times. In the beatitude "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God." they mention how we will see God. We have to not let others affect our morals and continue to believe what we think is right. We have to continue through life even if we are in a difficult situation.

Faith

5 BCE

Faith is the essence of religion, without faith there are no religions. In the beatitude "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven." It shows how we have to believe in it religion and not abandon it. We should believe in God and he will help us when we are in need.

Justice

4 BCE

Justice is rooted in our society, morals and beautitudes. Without justice all of our decisions are meaningless. In the beatitude "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God." It says we should help others because it is the just thing to do and not because it benefits us.

Temperance

Temperance is rooted in the beautitudes because we need to restrain ourselves from sin. In the beautitude "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God" they tell us to keep our heart pure, by helping others and restraining ourselves from the temptation of sin.

Fortitude

2 BCE

The virtue of Fortitude resides in the beautitudes because we need to persevere through pain and suffering to reach God's Kingdom. One of the beautitudes say "Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted" this shows how we need to persevere through rough times cause we will eventually reach God's Kingdom.

Wisdom

1 BCE

The virtue of wisdom is linked to the beautitudes because you need to open to others situations and willing to help them, even if it doesn't benefit you. In one of the beautitudes it states "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called children of God" this shows how we need to have the wisdom to avoid conflict and resolve it peacefully.

We can find happiness in living in contradiction to the status quo by not letting others control our lives. We should do what is right and not let others control our morals and decisions. We shouldn't let people decide our values and religion. Furthermore as individuals we have to help others for the common good and not be selfish to further our own needs. In conclusion we should do things we love even if our others shun us
