    Was a treaty signed by the United States and Panama, which established the Panama Canal Zone. It was named after its two primary negotiators, The United States had many offers that they had given to the colombians to control panama.

    Is the Monroe Doctrine that was made by President Theodore Roosevelt when he was president of the Union address in 1904 after the Venezuela Crisis. The corollary states that the United States will have conflicts between European countries and Latin American countries to enforce claims of the European powers, rather than having the Europeans press their claims directly. They were making a document to get along with other countries

They were fighting in what they believed was right for them even if they were lossing some of there people.

It represents the best system for getting between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. But at the same time, it highlights a negative period in American foreign policy in which the United States bullied around the countries of Latin America.
