The animation in 1941 came with a price, somehow Walt Disney got the animation out in time. This animation is a symbol of the many many strikes animators had to obtain credits on the actual animation. The UPA Goes Big
After the strikes in 1941, three of Disney's biggest artists leave and go make a company called Untied Productions of America. The UPA decided to make contemporary art in the cartoons and based the cartoons off of humans. One of the most famous was called Gerald McBoing-Boing and they beat out Tom and Jerry for the Oscar.
