    Konrad Zuse finishes the z3 computer. It was used for aerodynamic calculations but was destroyed in a bombing raid on Berlin in late 1943.

    John Vincent Antanastoff and his student Clifford Berry created a full-scale machine at Iowa State College.

    Curt Herzstark designed Curta calculator, the smallest all-mechanical, four-function calculator ever built. While he was imprisoned at a concentration camp in World War ll.

    First computer program to run on a computer. Frederic Williams, Tom Kilburn, and Geoff Toothill develop the Small-Scale Experimental Machine (SSEM).

    ERA 1101 introduced and created by Remington-Rand, One of the first commercially produced computers, the company´s first customer was the US Navy.
