Transgender Students and School Bathrooms
The Obama Administration reaches out to public schools to allow students to use the restroom that corresponds with the gender they identify with. If not complied with, they can face lawsuits and loss of federal funding. This is a huge step towards reaching gender equality and has had an impact on multicultural education in that it is paramount for social justice and promotes inclusiveness in schools.
