The Westinghouse Company
The first company to start radio broadcasting in the United States, the Westinghouse Company, not only started to broadcast, they also started selling radios where people could listen to programs right in their homes. -
NBC and CBS
Shortly after AT&T and WEAF advertised on the radio, CBS and NBC were created in the 1920s. -
Radio Expansion in Europe
After WWII, radio spread all over Europe. With the radio spreading all over Europe, new programs were also helping the radio gain more popularity. For example, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" helped grab listener's attention. -
Rock n' Roll
Radio popularity slowly declinded as television became more popular, but Rock n' Roll saved radio broadcasting in the 1950s. -

And with each new decade of new music, the radio continued to expand and gain more popularity. -
Radio Now
Today, radio is at it's highest in popularity. Broadcasting has expanded to satellite stations as well as internet stations.
