    The first ever public school the colonies was a religious school called the Boston Latin School was a school that was also only for boys.

    Allowing all children to have a free and public education allowed for more children to be educated. Then giving them free libraries allowed them to better that education and learn things that they wouldn't have otherwize.

    Ending the segregation in schools allowed for the students to come together and learn together. This would also allow african american teachers to teach white and african american students. (Mostly gone by 1954)
