  • People begin to place ads on the radio

    In 1922 WEAF radio station aired a 10 minute long commercial for an Apartment Complex and charged $50.
  • Federal Radio Commission created

    Due to many people getting their own radio station the FRC is created in order to regulate the airwaves and clear up confusion.
  • Pres. F.D.R. begins to broadcast his fireside chats

    During the Great Depression and through most of WW2 pres. FDR would often give inspirational speeches over the radio in order to raise moral in the U.S. These would become know as his Fireside Chats.
  • The FM transmitter is made
